Associate in Research
Biology Department – 2024
Blair graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Spring 2024 with a major in Biology and minors in Data Science and Environmental Science. During her undergraduate research in Christina Burch’s Lab, she utilized a computational model to simulate the evolutionary consequences of mechanisms of uniparental reproduction during colonization events. This work sparked a broad interest in evolutionary genetics, inspiring Blair to apply her computational skills to empirical data analysis. She is excited to diversify her research experience as a technician in the Yoder Lab, where she plans to investigate recombination rates in the mouse lemur before pursuing a graduate program.
